Recreation
Lamoni and the surrounding area have many recreational activities. We have three parks inside the city limits which are used for a variety of activities such as little league baseball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, skate park, and music events to name a few. George Foreman Park is also the home of our swimming facility. This facility is open from the first of June through Labor Day with swimming lessons scheduled throughout the summer.
Located in the Southeast part of town is a semi-private nine hole golf course that offers a challenge to every level of golf enthusiast.
Nine Eagles State Park, nine miles East of Lamoni, and Slips Bluff, a county park, located three miles Northeast of Lamoni are great places for camping, picnicking, fishing, and hiking. In addition to the activities mentioned above swimming and boating are also available at Nine Eagles State Park.
Graceland University offers recreation as well as cultural activities to are a residents. The Closson Center and Field house boast an indoor track and swimming pool that may be used at certain times during the week. Graceland also Has outdoor tennis courts and a newly renovated outdoor track. Additionally, the university has a yearly concert-lecture series which yields many fine performances throughout the year.

Lamoni Bike Trail Three miles of paved biking and hiking trails through beautiful tree-lined vegetation. Former railroad bed provides a gentle and relaxing day outdoors for biking enthusiasts.

Motocross Off-road motorcycle racing on a 1 mile track just six miles West of Lamoni. Races are held on Sundays, two races per day. Different classes for various age groups and experience levels.
