Lamoni Youth Basketball
It’s that time of year when Parks and Recreation wraps up youth basketball after practice season beginning in November. Throughout the months of January and February our young basketball players traveled around southern Iowa showing off their talent and getting valuable experience.
On Saturday March 2nd the youth basket-“ballers” participated in the season-ending tournament organized by Kevin Brunner and sponsored by the Graceland University Golf team. Many thanked him for the competent volunteers and the level of organization brought to the competition.
Basketball season is by far the longest season of all the sports. It takes an enormous amount of dedication from the coaches, players, and parents. Thank you all so much for giving back, and thanks to the Lamoni Schools for letting us use the gym and equipment in this endeavor.
Practice Schedule:
4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Girls:
Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. – noon
4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Boys -
Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Practices begin Wednesday November 14th and Saturday November 17th.
